Nintendo has officially announced an anticipated expansion to its renowned amiibo lineup, introducing new figures modeled after key characters from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Set to hit retailers worldwide on June 5, 2025, this launch includes amiibo figures for Tulin, Yunobo, Riju, and Sidon.
Additionally, Nintendo confirmed plans for an upcoming Mineru’s Construct amiibo, which will be released at a later date.
Amiibo remain a signature feature for Nintendo Switch players, offering interactive, collectible figures compatible with a variety of games.
These latest additions to the amiibo collection will provide exclusive in-game content for both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Scanning any of these new amiibo will grant players random items and, in Tears of the Kingdom, unlock a special paraglider fabric for Link—giving fans further incentive to augment their adventures across Hyrule.
The four featured sages each bring rich narratives and unique abilities to the Zelda universe:
- **Riju Amiibo:** Riju, the determined chief of the Gerudo Tribe, rose to leadership following her mother’s passing.
In Tears of the Kingdom, she stands alongside Link to liberate Gerudo Town, ultimately inheriting a secret stone and awakening as the Sage of Lightning.
- **Sidon Amiibo:** Sidon, prince of the Zora and son of King Dorephan, is known for his unwavering sense of justice and loyalty.
He joins Link, inherits a secret stone, and transforms into the Sage of Water, dedicating himself to protecting his domain.
- **Tulin Amiibo:** Tulin, the valiant young Rito warrior, allies with Link to shield his village from mysterious threats.
His bravery is rewarded when he inherits a secret stone, ascending as the Sage of Wind.
- **Yunobo Amiibo:** Yunobo, long-time supporter of Link and president of YunoboCo, is committed to aiding Goron prosperity through mining.
He claims a secret stone, embracing a new destiny as the Sage of Fire.
Nintendo’s continued support for The Legend of Zelda franchise exemplifies the company’s dedication to fan engagement and innovative gameplay integration on the Nintendo Switch.
The global release of these amiibo figures is expected to further increase engagement with one of Nintendo’s best-selling series, which has seen record-breaking sales and widespread critical acclaim since the debut of both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom on the Nintendo Switch and eShop.
As fans anticipate the arrival of these amiibo in June 2025, the announcement underscores the ongoing synergy between Nintendo’s physical collectibles and digital experiences.
For regular updates, collectors and players alike can monitor official Nintendo Direct presentations and the Nintendo eShop.
