Sega's recent Club Chaos livestream included a new teaser for the ongoing Fortnite x Sonic collaboration that appears to feature Metal Sonic.
The short clip was released as part of Sega's 35th anniversary celebrations for Sonic the Hedgehog, and it follows the franchise's earlier crossover with Epic Games' free-to-play battle royale Fortnite.
Fortnite, developed by Epic Games and available across platforms including the Nintendo Switch, originally welcomed Sonic and his supporting cast during the game's Override season in August 2026.
During Sega's Club Chaos presentation, the new teaser briefly shows a pair of red eyes roughly 11 seconds into the footage, a detail noted by Sonic Stadium.
The clip concludes with a clear "to be continued" message, signaling that Sega and Epic are planning further announcements.
In journalistic terms, the teaser prompts viewers to ask whether the silhouetted figure is Metal Sonic; the visuals and those red eyes strongly suggest the character's involvement.
Sega and Epic Games have not released additional information about what form the next phase of the crossover will take, nor have they provided release windows or in-game rollout details.
Metal Sonic is also slated to appear in other franchise projects tied to Sonic's 35th anniversary.
According to Sega, the character will be included in the upcoming live-action film Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and the animated short Memories and Beyond, both expected later this year.
Sega has positioned these projects as part of a broader slate of anniversary content across media and platforms.
For players on Nintendo platforms, Fortnite crossovers have historically been accessible on the Nintendo Switch via in-game updates; Sonic's extensive history on Nintendo systems also includes numerous classic and modern releases distributed through the Nintendo eShop.
Fans interested in tracking further developments should watch for official announcements from Sega and Epic, as well as follow coverage from outlets reporting on live updates from Sega's channels.
We will update this story as Sega or Epic Games release confirmed details about the teaser, any in-game content, and precise launch timings for new crossover content.
