Fortnite Star Wars Month: New Islands, The Mandalorian Watch Party, and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Update

Epic Games and Lucasfilm are rolling out an extensive slate of Star Wars-themed content for Fortnite throughout May 2026.

The free-to-play battle royale will host new islands and cooperative experiences developed with external studios, plus a timed watch party tied to The Mandalorian and Grogu.

These timed drops and in-game events are positioned to coincide with the broader Star Wars promotional calendar in May.

According to Epic, the initiative begins May 1, when "hundreds of these islands will go live," giving players a range of Star Wars activities.

In journalistic terms: Epic confirmed that starting May 1, a large collection of Star Wars-themed islands will launch in Fortnite, offering players opportunities to race tauntauns, run a Tatooine cantina, pilot a T-65B X-wing, and explore other Star Wars experiences with friends.

Three headline islands were detailed alongside developer credits and island codes:

- Galactic Siege (developed with JOGO Studios, island code: 5003-9856-3648) — A class-based PvP mode featuring 10v10 combat across iconic Star Wars planets.

- Escape Vader (made with Beyond Creative, island code: 7285-4185-5428) — A 4-player cooperative escape scenario where participants hide and flee from Darth Vader.

- Droid Tycoon (created with FOAD, island code: 7865-8305-9184) — A droid-building and factory-management experience using authentic Star Wars blueprints and unlockable components.

Beyond the new islands, Epic is staging a The Mandalorian and Grogu watch party island on May 19, 2026.

That event will include a special message from director Jon Favreau and a 10-minute sneak peek of the new film ahead of its theatrical release on May 22, 2026.

The watch party ties Fortnite’s in-game community events to an official promotional window for the film.

Additionally, LEGO Fortnite Odyssey receives a Star Wars-themed update on May 14, 2026 that adds the Hover Brick, hover vehicles, and new character models including Mando and Grogu alongside various Star Wars enemies.

This month-long Star Wars offering represents a cross-promotional effort between Epic Games and Lucasfilm, leveraging Fortnite’s creative island platform and partner developers JOGO Studios, Beyond Creative, and FOAD.

Players on platforms where Fortnite is available can look for island codes and event timings in the game’s Discover hub.

For readers following Nintendo-related coverage, Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey remain relevant to Nintendo Switch audiences and broader digital storefront discussions such as the eShop and Nintendo Direct announcements.
