Famitsu released its expanded Japanese software sales chart for the week of September 7, 2026, showing a mix of long-running bestsellers and recent releases across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.

Leading the list is Rhythm Heaven Groove on Nintendo Switch, which sold 24,756 units during the week for a reported cumulative total of 1,000,045 units.

The top of the chart highlights several multi-platform and platform-exclusive performances.

Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword claimed the No. 2 spot on PS5 with 19,654 weekly sales (96,184 cumulative), while a Nintendo Switch 2 entry for the same Onimusha release appears at No. 5 with 7,070 for a 26,569 cumulative figure.

Nintendo EPD-developed Splatoon Raiders (Nintendo Switch 2) posted 8,163 sales in the week, bringing its cumulative total to 656,692.

Other notable results include Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream on Nintendo Switch finishing fourth with 7,607 weekly sales and a cumulative 1,603,143, and Minecraft on Switch moving 3,324 copies this week for a cumulative 4,277,487.

Classic Nintendo franchises also remained visible: Mario Kart World (NS2) recorded 3,141 for a 3,031,357 cumulative, Pokemon Pokopia logged 2,705 weekly for a 1,124,718 running total, and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet on Switch added 1,243 units this week, pushing its lifetime sales to 5,698,571.

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring (NS2) appeared at No. 18 with 1,617 weekly sales and a cumulative 35,780, while Koei Tecmo’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms 14 Complete Edition debuted on NS2 at No. 10 with 2,797 copies and on PS5 at No. 14 with 2,448.

Konami’s Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 (PS5) rounded out the top 30 at No. 30 with 1,028 weekly sales (15,732 cumulative).

Famitsu provided the sales figures and maintains an archive of past weekly charts on its site.

The September 7, 2026 data reflects both new releases and durable catalog sellers across Switch and Switch 2 hardware, underscoring Nintendo-platform resilience in Japan’s retail market.
