Famitsu released its expanded Japanese software sales chart for the week of July 6, 2026, showing a Nintendo Switch entry reclaiming the top spot.

The weekly rankings cover physical and digital point-of-sale data across platforms listed by Famitsu as Nintendo Switch (NSW), Nintendo Switch 2 (NS2) and PlayStation 5 (PS5).

Leading the chart is Nintendo's Rhythm Heaven Groove on Nintendo Switch, which sold 126,073 copies during the week and has reached a cumulative total of 519,451 units.

New releases made a strong showing: Magical Girl Witch Trial debuted at number two with 21,283 copies, and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced opened at number four on PlayStation 5 with 17,152 sales.

Other notable entries include Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream at number three with 20,827 copies sold this week and a cumulative 1,457,949 units.

Bandai Namco's Digimon Story: Time Stranger appears across platforms, with the Nintendo Switch 2 edition selling 15,644 copies (new) and the Nintendo Switch edition placing at number eight with 11,251 copies.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink — Endless Ragnarok posted multi-platform debuts, including a Nintendo Switch 2 entry at number seven with 12,544 copies and a PlayStation 5 listing at number 11 with 6,906 copies.

Several long-running Nintendo titles continue to post steady weekly figures: Mario Kart World (NS2) added 4,607 copies for a cumulative 2,989,889; Animal Crossing: New Horizons (NSW) sold 2,095 units this week for a total of 8,454,840; Splatoon 3 moved 2,334 copies, bringing its lifetime sales to 4,555,458.

Minecraft for Nintendo Switch remains among the best-selling digital catalog titles with 3,478 units this week and a cumulative 4,236,629.

Super Smash Bros.

Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also remain on the chart with multi-million lifetime totals.

Famitsu provided the week's sales figures and maintains archives for previous weeks on its website.

The full top 30 list reflects a mix of major first-party Nintendo releases, established evergreen titles, and new debuts across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
