Square Enix has released three KINGDOM HEARTS collections for the Nintendo Switch 2 system, with one of those collections also available on the current Nintendo Switch.
The KINGDOM HEARTS saga follows Sora, a Keyblade wielder, as he travels across iconic Disney and Pixar worlds to battle the Heartless and confront the forces of darkness.
The series has been reissued in multiple HD remasters and compilations since the original KINGDOM HEARTS debuted in 2002, and the new Switch releases collect those definitive packages for players on Nintendo platforms.
Company statement rewritten for clarity: Square Enix explains that these are native versions for Nintendo Switch 2 and that players who previously purchased cloud versions on Nintendo Switch can transfer existing save data to the new Switch 2 releases.
The publisher also notes that owners of the cloud releases may be eligible for discounted upgrade pricing on select Switch 2 titles; customers should check the Nintendo Store for details.
