Ender Magnolia: Bloom In the Mist Announced for Nintendo Switch—New Metroidvania Adventure Arrives in 2024 Binary Haze Interactive, together with developers Adglobe and Live Wire, has officially announced Ender Magnolia: Bloom In the Mist for Nintendo Switch.

Building on the critical and commercial success of its predecessor, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, this sequel aims to deliver another rich, dark fantasy Metroidvania experience when it launches later in 2024.

The announcement was made during a recent showcase, highlighting the continued collaboration between the publisher and Nintendo to bring story-driven indie titles to the platform. Returning fans can expect an evolved narrative and gameplay structure.

Ender Magnolia: Bloom In the Mist is set decades after the events known as the Rain of Death.

Players will explore the Land of Fumes, a world threatened by mystical corruption beneath its surface.

The kingdom’s desperate pursuit of power resulted in the creation of Homunculi—mechanical beings destined to enforce royal decrees.

A failed operation to harvest new resources has now unleashed noxious vapors from the underground, plunging both humans and machines into chaos. Taking the protagonist role is Lilac, an "Attuner" endowed with the ability to purify those afflicted by the toxic mist.

With her powers and the support of friendly machines and spirits, players must combat a variety of mechanized threats—ranging from animated carcasses to cannonball-launching corpses and formidable chainsaw-wielding goblins—that ravage the land.

Innovative to this new installment, players can convert corrupted enemy bosses into allies by cleansing them and absorbing up to 30 new abilities.

Lilac is able to equip up to four of these powers at once, introducing new layers of strategy to the game’s enhanced combat system while also upgrading attack capabilities, health, and armor as they progress. Exploration remains a key recipe for Ender Magnolia, with atmospheric, hand-drawn environments filled with lore-driven artifacts and story pieces scattered across the kingdom’s expansive map.

Players can amass gold to trade for upgraded equipment at the Blacksmith, uncover hidden relics, and piece together both the kingdom’s and Lilac's lost histories. The game also sees the return of acclaimed musical group Mili, known for work on “Ghost in the Shell” and “Goblin Slayer,” who will deliver a brand-new, original soundtrack available for purchase at launch.

Their contribution is expected to underscore the game’s emotional and immersive backdrop. Reflecting on the announcement, Binary Haze Interactive CEO Hiroyuki Kobayashi expressed gratitude to the community, stating: "After teasing a sequel to Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights nearly two years ago, we've been encouraged by overwhelming requests from our online community for another adventure.

It's a privilege to introduce this title with the support of Nintendo at such a momentous occasion.

We look forward to sharing further updates very soon." Ender Magnolia: Bloom In the Mist will be available for Nintendo Switch via the eShop in late 2024, with additional details on release formats and platforms to be revealed closer to launch.

Stay tuned for more information on this highly anticipated Metroidvania sequel as its debut approaches.
