PlaySide, renowned for its engaging game experiences, has officially announced "Dumb Ways to Party," a new multiplayer party game coming to both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 platforms.
Scheduled for release in 2026, this fresh entry embraces the popular Dumb Ways series’ offbeat humor and brings a dynamic party experience to Nintendo consoles.
"Dumb Ways to Party" is positioned as the "world’s dumbest party game," delivering a blend of chaotic group challenges and unpredictable action.
Players are invited to compete in "The Dumbest of the Dumb" game show, a whirlwind of entertaining mini-games designed to test quick reflexes, strategy, and—most importantly—a willingness to embrace the absurd.
Participants will face a gauntlet of 40 outrageous mini-games, each designed to surprise with unexpected twists and hilarious outcomes.
According to PlaySide, the game supports both solo play and multiplayer modes for up to four contestants.
Multiplayer is available across local couch co-op and online, ensuring accessibility for every playstyle.
Each session is punctuated with "Game Show Moments"—randomized events that can instantly shift the balance of the match, adding a layer of suspense as surprises and sabotages regularly overturn the tide of competition.
PlaySide shared, "Whether you’re aiming for personal glory or simply enjoying the chaos with friends, dumb fun is always guaranteed."
Fans of the franchise will be able to choose from beloved Dumb Ways characters such as Numpty, Botch, and Clod, all presented in a newly reimagined, vibrant 3D art style that brings their quirky personalities to life.
A variety of zany items can be used during play, enabling contestants to outwit—or out-dumb—their competitors.
Game modes include the headline "Game Show" mode, which offers a structured competitive experience, as well as a Freeplay mode perfect for uninterrupted bursts of mini-game mayhem.
The developers have emphasized accessible controls with pick-up-and-play mechanics, ensuring both veterans of party games and newcomers can jump straight into the action without steep learning curves.
Set to launch on both Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2, "Dumb Ways to Party" aims to maintain PlaySide’s tradition of delivering family-friendly, high-energy multiplayer entertainment.
With its expanded platform support, fresh 3D visuals, and riotous menu of mini-games, it is already generating excitement for party game enthusiasts and the growing Nintendo audience.
As of now, PlaySide has shared that fans should stay tuned for more updates and an official release date as development progresses towards the 2026 launch.
