IO Interactive Unveils Dr. Selina Tan for 007 First Light on Nintendo Switch 2

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have officially introduced Dr.

Selina Tan, a pivotal new character in the upcoming James Bond title 007 First Light, which is currently in development for the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 platform.

As excitement builds for the next chapter in the Bond video game franchise, this announcement underscores the collaboration’s commitment to delivering a modern, deeply immersive spy narrative tailored for Nintendo’s cutting-edge hardware. Dr.

Selina Tan, portrayed by acclaimed actor Gemma Chan, will serve a crucial role in the story.

According to details shared by IO Interactive, Dr.

Tan is “a brilliant and passionate academic with a background in psychology and game theory whose involvement at MI6 is instrumental in Bond’s journey toward achieving 00 status in 007 First Light.” This character is poised to play a central part in James Bond’s transformation from young recruit to elite agent. 007 First Light marks a milestone for the franchise, offering players for the first time the opportunity to experience Bond’s ascent at MI6.

The story follows a 26-year-old Royal Navy air crewman, whose sharp instincts and acts of heroism lead to recruitment into the agency’s legendary 00 section.

The game’s third-person action-adventure framework is designed to immerse Nintendo Switch 2 players in classic espionage scenarios reminiscent of the iconic film series, challenging them to navigate a world brimming with intrigue, exotic locales, and high-stakes confrontations.
