He explained that a 'very small special room,' showcased in the game's trailer, will allow players to use mouse controls across both controllers simultaneously—an option enabled solely by the hardware advancements of Nintendo Switch 2. “Since DELTARUNE is a launch title for Nintendo Switch 2, I wanted to provide something truly special for fans,” Fox shared in the announcement.

“Therefore, we designed a small special room that utilizes mouse controls with two controllers at once, possible only on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Gamers can spy this feature in the trailer.” Fox assured fans that regardless of the platform, the core experience remains consistent.

“Even if you aren’t able to get the Switch 2 immediately, other versions of DELTARUNE include the same special room, but with a different control scheme.

All non-Switch 2 editions will offer identical content to each other.” He further clarified, “There are no significant variations in story, dialogue, or music between versions—everyone receives the complete adventure.

No one is left out.” Additionally, Fox confirmed that each version will grant players access to PLUEY—completely free of charge—regardless of the platform purchased.
