Kemco, in collaboration with developer Kanekodo, has officially announced that Decollate Decoration, a distinctive point-and-click adventure game, is set to release for Nintendo Switch on April 17, 2025.
The digital download will be available globally via the Nintendo eShop, further expanding the Switch’s diverse lineup of indie and narrative-driven titles.
Originally developed as a partnership between renowned publisher Kemco and indie studio Kanekodo, Decollate Decoration takes a fresh approach to the adventure and visual novel genre.
This title places players in the role of a girl who finds herself transformed into a ghost.
Driven by love and desperation, she must fulfill her lingering desires tied to her beloved, using various supernatural methods to reach out to him—ranging from inciting poltergeists to infiltrating dreams, or even resorting to playful curses. The game’s narrative is dark yet emotionally charged, exploring themes of devotion, loss, and the thin line between love and obsession.
As the protagonist, players experiment with different ways to influence their beloved, who is unable to sense spiritual entities directly.
Success demands strategic use of point-and-click mechanics and command selections, with decisions leading to one of six possible endings.
Each individual playthrough is compact—taking approximately 15 minutes—making the game ideal for replayability.
To further encourage completion, Decollate Decoration offers a prologue and epilogue, a save function, a comprehensive ending list, and unlockable bonus illustrations.
