Deathless: The Hero’s Quest—an immersive roguelike journey inspired by Slavic folklore—will make its debut on Nintendo Switch this autumn, developer 1C Game Studios and publisher Fulqrum have announced.
Originally released on PC, the game has already engaged thousands of players in the dark and twisted fairy tales of Belosvet, amassing more than 4 million battles and over 280,000 completed runs.
Now, Nintendo Switch enthusiasts can look forward to defending the land of Slavia against a pantheon of mythical threats, all from the comfort of their console.
Rooted in centuries-old Slavic mythology, Deathless: The Hero’s Quest challenges players to select from four unique heroes before embarking on perilous quests where danger lurks at every turn.
Each playthrough offers a chance to encounter powerful adversaries such as bogatyrs, cunning wizards, and supernatural spirits called nechistiks.
The game’s world, Belosvet, is filled with legendary beasts and familiar—the game claims, sometimes humorously devious—folk creatures waiting to challenge even the bravest adventurers.
“Adapting to the various mythical foes is essential,” representatives from 1C Game Studios said.
“Players must master their card-based strategies to survive Koschey the Deathless and determine whether the villain’s immortality is truly unbreakable.”
A major draw for fans of card battlers and roguelikes, Deathless: The Hero’s Quest incorporates rich deck-building mechanics.
Players can collect, combine, and customize hundreds of cards throughout their adventures, strengthening their arsenal from one run to the next.
With every journey, they unlock new cards and battle modifiers, ensuring that no two experiences are the same.
However, even experienced heroes must remain vigilant: future runs are shaped by past choices, and fearsome fairy tale creatures—including revenants, the yaga, or water nymphs known as rusalkas—keep the challenge fresh.
The game’s structure invites exploration, strategic planning, and replayability, as each of the four heroes’ stories weave together across quests and battles.
Alongside formidable foes, players may encounter allies, complete branching quests, and uncover the deepest secrets of Slavic folklore.
The goal remains constant: restore harmony to Belosvet and bring peace to the people of Slavia, even if fairytale endings are never guaranteed.
With its highly imaginative setting and proven appeal among the PC community, Deathless: The Hero’s Quest is poised to become a notable addition to the Nintendo Switch eShop this autumn.
Console players eager to test their skills against Slavic myths can expect an experience both challenging and rewarding when the title launches later this year.
