Dillo Interactive has confirmed that Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2 is in development for Nintendo Switch, with a planned release in 2027.
The studio describes the sequel as a spooky, occult-themed creature-collector RPG that expands on its core mechanics of summoning, upgrading and dueling folkloric monsters.
Alongside the Switch announcement, Dillo Interactive has made a playtest available on Steam that features more than 20 playable Horrors and multiple crypt environments.
What Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2 is
According to Dillo Interactive, players will compete for power and influence in the underworld by collecting, battling and sacrificing more than 100 distinct Creepy Horrors.
The game centers on turn-based 3v3 combat: players field a squad of six Horrors, use a Blood Lust resource to charge abilities, and execute powerful ultimate attacks to outmaneuver rival cults.
The developer also highlights strategic elements such as damage-dealing abilities, debuffs, defensive disciplines and ultimate attacks that can swing battles in your favor.
Sects, Horrors and progression
The developer says players will join one of four Sects—Secta Daemonum, Secta Mortuorum, Secta Spirituum and Secta Cryptidarum—each offering unique playstyles.
Secta Daemonum focuses on raw offensive power, Secta Mortuorum emphasizes damage resistance, Secta Spirituum leans into buffs and debuffs, and Secta Cryptidarum specializes in evasion and unpredictable strikes.
Each Sect also grants access to exclusive Relics and Horrors that augment abilities.
Progression relies on sacrificial mechanics and crafting: sacrificing cultists and unwanted Horrors yields parts to complete recipes, and exploring crypts unlocks new recipes and stronger content.
Dillo Interactive states the current Steam playtest includes over 20 Horrors and multiple crypts for players to explore and test these systems.
Availability and trailer
Dillo Interactive released an official trailer alongside the announcement and confirmed the title is planned for Nintendo Switch in 2027.
A Steam playtest is available now for PC players; the developer has not yet detailed specific distribution plans for Switch, such as a Nintendo eShop listing or a release window beyond 2027.
