Club Chaos Livestream: SEGA Confirms Sonic the Hedgehog Event on October 9 — Times, Hosts, and Musical Guests

SEGA has scheduled a dedicated Sonic the Hedgehog livestream titled Club Chaos for 9 October at 7:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 a.m. UK time. The event will be hosted by presenter Jacki Jing and streamed live on the official Sonic YouTube and Twitch channels. SEGA described the show as including exclusive segments and live performances from established and emerging artists. Club Chaos brings together a mix of Sonic talent and music guests. Line-up confirmations from SEGA list Thundercat, Austin Millz and Tee Lopes as musical performers. Tee Lopes is best known in the Sonic community for composing the soundtrack to Sonic Mania, which released on Nintendo Switch and other platforms in August 2017. The inclusion of musical guests highlights SEGA’s continued use of live events to engage fans across multiple media. SEGA’s announcement noted the program will feature "sneak peeks & special announcements." Rewritten in journalistic terms: SEGA says the broadcast will include sneak-peek content and special announcements related to the Sonic franchise. The company has positioned the livestream as a single showcase event rather than a recurring Nintendo Direct–style presentation. Where to watch: SEGA directs viewers to the official Sonic YouTube and Twitch channels for the live stream. These channels previously hosted announcements and developer panels for Sonic titles and related media. Context and platform history: Sonic the Hedgehog has a long history across home consoles and handhelds, including multiple releases on Nintendo platforms. Notably, Sonic Mania launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in August 2017, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate released on Nintendo Switch in September 2021. SEGA continues to promote Sonic projects across digital storefronts such as the Nintendo eShop and through live online events. What this means for fans: With confirmed hosts and musical talent, Club Chaos is positioned as a multimedia showcase combining music and franchise updates. Fans can tune in to the official Sonic channels at the scheduled time to watch SEGA’s presentation live.
