Nintendo has strengthened its commitment to video game music enthusiasts by adding the complete F-Zero X soundtrack to the Nintendo Music app.

This popular feature, available on the Nintendo Switch platform, continues to grow its content library and attract a dedicated fanbase of retro and modern gamers alike.

Released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, F-Zero X is renowned for its fast-paced racing mechanics and adrenaline-pumping soundtrack.

The latest Nintendo Music app update brings fans a full suite of classic audio from this iconic title.

Nintendo confirmed that the F-Zero X album now streams in the app, offering users direct access to the music that defined a generation of racing games. The F-Zero X collection includes 20 original tracks, amassing a total runtime of 38 minutes.

In addition to the standard album, an extended playlist is available, featuring 15 of the classic songs in special editions that allow for enhanced, prolonged listening sessions.

This extended mode utilizes the recently introduced extension feature, enabling tracks to loop seamlessly for durations of 15, 30, or even 60 minutes.

It's an ideal soundtrack companion for work, study, exercise, or daily routines, as listeners can immerse themselves longer in the high-energy sounds of F-Zero X. Nintendo Music launched on October 30, quickly establishing itself as a must-have for Nintendo Switch owners interested in reliving favorite game soundtracks.

Since launch, the app has expanded weekly, releasing albums such as Super Mario Bros.

Wonder, Donkey Kong Country 2, and Wii Sports prior to the arrival of F-Zero X.

A Nintendo spokesperson commented that the weekly soundtrack updates are designed to celebrate the company’s diverse music legacy and provide something new for fans to enjoy each week.

Nintendo Music’s growing collection, coupled with intuitive new features like playlist extension, highlights Nintendo’s ongoing innovation in both hardware and digital experiences.

As F-Zero X joins the expanding roster, it signals Nintendo’s dedication to preserving classic game soundtracks while making them more accessible than ever to both longtime fans and new listeners.

Both veteran and newer Nintendo Switch users can experience these celebrated soundtracks by downloading the Nintendo Music app via the eShop.
