The title is a premium, family-friendly experience developed in close partnership with Bluey's producers Ludo Studio and BBC Studios, and the publisher has highlighted that the game contains no in-game purchases and no online play.
Bluey's Happy Snaps places players in the Heeler household and around the city of Brisbane after Bluey and Bingo discover Dad's old camera.
Using the camera mechanic, players capture moments, decorate scrapbooks and collect stickers while moving through familiar locations from the series.
The game includes fan-favourite settings making their video-game debut, such as The Park from the "Spy Game" episode, South Bank scenes featured in "Ice Cream," and the lookout from "The Sign."
Gameloft and its Brisbane studio describe the experience as designed for shared play.
Manea Castet, studio manager at Gameloft Brisbane, explained that many of the development team are parents and aimed to build a title they would feel comfortable playing with their own children.
Castet said the team wanted to encourage creativity and real-world play, citing examples like chasing bin chickens or imaginative taxi games that the studio hopes players will continue off-screen.
Marina Mello, global director of gaming and interactive at BBC Studios, added that Bluey's Happy Snaps is crafted to invite children and families to "play, explore, and capture moments in a photo-powered adventure." She noted the game's cooperative options and real-world activities are intended to extend what fans enjoy about Bluey beyond the TV series, helping families turn in-game moments into shared real-life fun.
Key features outlined by the publisher include exploring beloved series locations, capturing and collecting hundreds of stickers and scrapbook decorations, a cooperative "Co-op Play" mode for side-by-side play, and "Play for Real Life" activities that reinforce well-being in digital play.
The game is published by Gameloft and developed by Gameloft Brisbane in collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios.
Bluey's Happy Snaps arrives on 15 October 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch via retail and the Nintendo eShop.
