The presentation confirmed release timing, upgrade paths and platform-specific features that will shape Nintendo's software pipeline into 2027.

In official remarks opening the Direct, Nintendo framed the presentation as a broad mix of new adventures, expanded experiences and surprise announcements across Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems.

That theme carried through the show, which paired flagship Nintendo projects with high-profile third-party releases.

Key first-party highlights include Metroid Ravenous, an all-new 2D Samus Aran adventure slated to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on Jan. 28, 2027, with collectible Metroid Ravenous amiibo and a Special Edition offering a steel case.

Nintendo confirmed that Star Fox Adventures will join the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics library later the same day, and said the full Direct is available to watch on Nintendo's site and Nintendo eShop for additional details, pre-orders and upgrade information.
