Cassette Beasts 2002 Nintendo Switch 2 Release Window Confirmed for March 2027

Raw Fury and developer Bytten Studio have confirmed a release window for Cassette Beasts 2002, announcing that the game will arrive digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide in March 2027.

The follow-up to the original Cassette Beasts continues the indie studio’s focus on retro-inspired creature-collector, turn-based RPG mechanics and expands its scope for the new Nintendo hardware.

The publisher outlines a setting that blends modern London with an alternate realm called Nodnol.

According to Raw Fury’s briefing, the player begins in a quiet London neighborhood before being pulled into Nodnol, a shadowed land of beasts and oddities.

The central narrative task is to uncover the plans of an occultist named Westerley and determine how that figure’s scheme affects both worlds.

Raw Fury and Bytten Studio have provided concrete gameplay figures and systems.

The developers state the game features more than 250 individual beasts players can transform into.

Those base forms, including evolutionary lines, combine to create over 50,000 possible fused forms, with all transformations fully animated.

The publisher presents this breadth of options as designed to welcome returning fans while also serving as an accessible entry point for newcomers.

Key features confirmed by the publisher include:

- Deep battle systems with utility, support, and offensive attacks, elemental matchups, and adaptive rogue monsters that learn from player tactics.

- A fusion mechanic that lets players record beasts encountered on the field and change forms in turn-based combat, with more than 250 beasts and over 50,000 potential fusions.

- Companion systems featuring 12 distinct characters to befriend or romance, each offering stories, motivations, and quests that affect team-building and beast power.

- Robust multiplayer that supports cassette trading, cooperative encounters, 1v1 battles with power scaling, a shared story-mode investigation of the occultist mystery, and timed objectives for rewards.

A trailer accompanied the announcement materials from Raw Fury and Bytten Studio.

The March 2027 digital release on Nintendo eShop positions Cassette Beasts 2002 as an early third-party title targeting the Nintendo Switch 2’s lifecycle.
