Bee Simulator: The Hive Announced for Nintendo Switch with Major Expansion and New Features

Untold Tales and Varsav Game Studios have officially announced the release of Bee Simulator: The Hive for Nintendo Switch, scheduled for launch in 2025.

This latest iteration represents not only a return of the acclaimed 2019 title but also a substantial expansion that adds a wealth of new gameplay features, mechanics, and content.

The upcoming release positions itself as a major highlight for the Nintendo Switch library in the coming year. Bee Simulator: The Hive brings together the full content of the original Bee Simulator, originally launched in 2019, and introduces a significant expansion called "The Hive." The expansion includes an array of fresh mechanics designed to enhance replayability and immersion.

Players can now build and personalize their own bee hive colonies, expanding from foundational construction to the addition of various functional and decorative buildings.

This new hive management feature requires careful resource collection and planning to create a thriving, bustling home for your bee colony. In addition to hive customization, The Hive expansion incorporates wind tunnels and jet streams, enabling players to traverse the vast, semi-open world map much more swiftly.

There are also two new mini-game challenges that test the reflexes and strategy of players, along with the introduction of 'bee vision,' which assists in efficiently gathering resources and highlighting outposts scattered across the environment.

Weather randomization during free flight mode adds another layer of realism and variety, while expanded co-op maps are now available for solo or group play. Players will revisit the vibrant world inspired by New York’s Central Park, teeming with interactive elements such as people, animals, plants, and other insects.

The map is carefully crafted to offer countless secrets, mini-games, and collectables, keeping exploration at the heart of the experience.

As one of the hive’s most essential workers, players must defend the colony, collect pollen, execute iconic bee dances, and tackle dynamic missions that blend action and adventure seamlessly. Cooperative gameplay receives a significant boost, with the ability to team up with as many as four players in local split-screen mode on Nintendo Switch.
