Astroneer Glitchwalkers DLC: First Paid Expansion Arrives on Nintendo Switch

Astroneer, the widely acclaimed survival sandbox game from System Era Softworks, continues to expand its universe with the release of its first paid downloadable content, Glitchwalkers, on the Nintendo Switch.

The story centers around Lyn, a discontented member of the ESS Elysium crew, who has sabotaged the Astroneer Training Program’s core by tampering with its code.

Gamers must collaborate with Frank, Elysium's Head of Maintenance, to confront Lyn in a new sequence of hacking mechanics and digital firefights, restoring order to the compromised systems of Aeoluz.

This addition injects narrative depth and new challenges, appealing to both veterans and those seeking fresh survival gameplay. In a recent official statement, the developers emphasized that Glitchwalkers “pushes Astroneer’s legacy of exploration and building to unprecedented levels.” Aeoluz not only extends the universe's lore but also introduces innovative systems and quality of life enhancements.
