007 First Light Brings Aston Martin Valhalla and Iconic Espionage to Nintendo Switch 2

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have officially confirmed the entrance of the Aston Martin Valhalla into the highly anticipated 007 First Light, which is currently in development for the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 console.

This marks a significant step forward for both the James Bond video game franchise and the Nintendo hardware ecosystem, as 007 First Light aims to fully leverage the capabilities of the upcoming Switch 2.

007 First Light is poised to immerse players in the globe-trotting, adrenaline-fueled world of espionage, drawing inspiration from decades of James Bond cinematic history.

In an exciting partnership between IO Interactive—renowned for their expertise in stealth and action gameplay—and Amazon MGM Studios, this new title will let players experience the formative years of Britain’s most legendary secret agent. As detailed by the developer, the inclusion of the Aston Martin Valhalla brings a new dimension to the action.

Described by IO Interactive as a “hybrid twin-turbo V8 pushing over 1000 horsepower and outfitted with a range of enhancements not listed in the official specs,” the Valhalla stands out as a formidable addition to Bond’s arsenal.

Featured upgrades include the Q-Type Machinegun Turret, with additional modifications expected to be unveiled in the lead-up to release. 007 First Light offers a fresh chapter in the Bond legacy, inviting players to chart the early progression of James Bond.

For the first time, fans will step into the shoes of a 26-year-old Bond, witnessing his transformation from a skilled but rebellious Royal Navy air crewman into a full-fledged member of MI6’s elite 00 section.

Through a blend of thrilling third-person action-adventure gameplay, players will navigate a host of international locales, encountering both allies and adversaries, and determining their approach through a mixture of force, strategy, and wit. Unique to 007 First Light is the opportunity for players to shape Bond’s path—deciding how best to use his abilities for combat, interpersonal relationships, and the innovative technologies developed by Q.

Notable characters from the franchise, including M, Q, and Moneypenny, will return, while new faces such as mentor John Greenway and the enigmatic Isola will make their debut alongside a fresh gallery of villains. The game is scheduled for release both physically and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

Additionally, early supporters who create an IOI account ahead of launch will unlock an exclusive in-game item, with future rewards promised as well. As IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios bring the world of James Bond to a new generation of Nintendo hardware, 007 First Light stands out as one of the most anticipated releases in the Nintendo Switch 2 lineup.
