Another Crab’s Treasure Physical Editions Announced for Nintendo Switch by Aggro Crab and iam8bit

Aggro Crab Games and iam8bit have collaborated to release new physical editions of 'Another Crab’s Treasure' on Nintendo Switch.

The game, which has won over players with its whimsical take on the soulslike genre and its environmental themes, is now being made available in collectible retail formats with a focus on sustainable merchandise. The physical release includes two distinct versions: the Another Crab’s Treasure Retail Edition and the iam8bit Exclusive Edition, both priced at $34.99.

Each edition contains a region-free cartridge of the game and a glossy fold-out poster measuring 12 x 18 inches.

The poster features a clay art representation of Kril, the game's plucky hermit crab protagonist, wielding his distinct fork weapon.

The iam8bit Exclusive Edition is distinguished by a unique o-sleeve adorned with original clay artwork by artist cobcris. Pre-orders for both editions have opened, with shipments scheduled to begin on September 5, 2025.

Early buyers will receive an official soundtrack download code, allowing fans to enjoy the game's music outside of their gaming sessions.

In addition, a special 2xLP vinyl version of the soundtrack has been announced.

Pressed on 100 percent recycled, carbon-neutral Random Eco Blend Color Vinyl, each disc will be randomly pressed in one of six unique colorways, and will also include a digital download code for the soundtrack. Further highlighting the game’s environmental message, Another Crab’s Treasure tote bags have been produced from completely recycled materials.

These feature patterned art by cobcris, and $1 from every tote sale will be donated to Sustainable Coastlines, an organization dedicated to promoting coastal stewardship.

Each purchase of the tote comes with an official certificate of donation. Set in a fantastical underwater world plagued by pollution and an enigmatic curse, Another Crab’s Treasure places players in control of Kril, a hermit crab on a quest to reclaim his repossessed shell.

To survive, Kril must collect discarded trash to use as armor against imposing foes, discovering an undersea society grappling with the consequences of industrial pollution.
