Devcats, the indie studio celebrated for their whimsical hidden object adventures, has officially announced A Planet Full of Cats for Nintendo Switch.

The new entry in the successful Full of Cats series is set to make its debut on the Nintendo platform in the first quarter of 2026, promising players another round of charming cat-centric gameplay with expanded mechanics and a fresh extraterrestrial setting.

Building on the momentum of over 1.5 million cumulative downloads across previous installments, A Planet Full of Cats invites players into the shoes of bounty hunter Judy.

Tasked by the Galactic Feline Federation, Judy must investigate the mysterious radio silence of a cat-inhabited planet.

The game’s narrative unfolds across a vibrant array of biomes, including fungal forests, glacial terrains, and ancient subterranean temples, all meticulously crafted for hidden object exploration and feline rescues. Gameplay enhances the beloved formula of the Full of Cats series by weaving in non-linear progression paths and new puzzle elements influenced by classic Metroidvania design.

Players can expect to scour each hand-drawn environment for elusive cats, relying on unlockable abilities such as x-ray vision, heat rays for melting ice, and protective armor to uncover every secret. In an official statement, Devcats spokesperson Fofiño commented that A Planet Full of Cats represents the studio’s most ambitious title to date, innovating on fan-favorite mechanics.
