Nintendo continues to celebrate its extensive gaming legacy by expanding its digital audio selection, as the full soundtrack from Golden Sun: The Lost Age is now accessible to fans via Nintendo Music.
As a direct sequel to the beloved Game Boy Advance role-playing classic Golden Sun, The Lost Age builds on its predecessor’s legacy with deeper storytelling, intricate gameplay, and a memorable soundscape.
Golden Sun: The Lost Age was developed by Camelot Software Planning and launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance.
Praised for its innovative puzzle mechanics and pioneering approach to RPG exploration, the game is frequently ranked among the finest role-playing titles ever released on Nintendo’s handheld systems.
Camelot, known for its collaborations with Nintendo on series like Mario Golf and Mario Tennis, solidified its place in RPG history with Golden Sun’s unique fusion of turn-based combat and elemental Djinn mechanics.
With this latest update, Nintendo has added a substantial 94 music tracks from Golden Sun: The Lost Age to Nintendo Music.
The newly available soundtrack spans three hours and 23 minutes, covering a broad range of themes—from adventurous overworld anthems like "Venus Lighthouse" and "A Journey Around the World," to intense battle themes including "Battle with Dullahan" and the iconic "Battle (The Lost Age)." Longtime fans will appreciate nostalgic compositions like "Main Theme (Title)," "Felix Returns," and "The Lost Age (Ending)," all fully preserved and seamlessly accessible.
A Nintendo spokesperson expressed that their goal with these additions is to "honor the rich musical history of our classic RPGs and introduce them to new generations of players via the Switch platform." The integration of Golden Sun: The Lost Age’s complete score brings the total catalog of Nintendo Music well above 2,000 tracks, with recent expansions also including selections from Fire Emblem Awakening, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Kirby Air Ride.
Both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are now available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members through the Game Boy Advance Classics library.
This service grants subscribers access to a curated collection of legacy GBA titles, revitalized for the Nintendo Switch hardware, with enhanced features such as rewind, save states, and online multiplayer for select games.
For those eager to relive or experience these revered titles for the first time, now is an ideal opportunity.
Beyond gaming, the comprehensive soundtrack addition gives video game music enthusiasts and collectors easy access to one of the most beloved RPG soundtracks of the early 2000s—further cementing Nintendo’s commitment to preserving its audio history on modern platforms.
