Bohemia Interactive Games

Bohemia Interactive is a video game developer based in Prague, Czech Republic. It specializes in military simulation games and is best known for the ARMA, Operation Flashpoint and Take On series. Bohemia Interactive’s debut project was 2001 game Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, a tactical shooter with heavy emphasis on realistic simulation of the modern-war battlefield. It was moderately successful and created a series. However, Bohemia only developed an expansion pack for the game, while Codemasters made every other entry. The ideas introduced in Operation Flashpoint profoundly influenced another studio’s military simulation franchise – ARMA. The ARMA series is notable for its high realism and sizeable modding community which is being endorsed and supported by Bohemia. The other notable series in the company’s catalog is Take On – a franchise of vehicle simulator that currently includes two games: Take On Helicopter and Take On Mars.
